Looping 101 Track
After learning how to dock your boat, learning how to read and understand weather forecasts is the next important lesson to learn for your Loop. Being able to pick the right conditions to sail can make the difference between a fabulous Loop adventure or sleeping on deck for the rest of your voyage. Foster Schucker and Susan Wilson will demystify weather forecasts. They will also talk about popular weather apps and help you create your own “Go-No Go” criteria. This expanded presentation now has 40% more apps and 40% more information about the rivers.

Foster has been an avid sailor and boater since growing up on the Choptank River (it’s off the middle part of the Bay). Susan boated for years along the Connecticut Shore. After boating together for a decade on the Chesapeake Bay, they embarked on The Loop in 2014 on the Quo Vadimus for one of their greatest bucket list adventures. Now, as Gold Loopers, they are Harbor Hosts for the Upper Chesapeake Bay and still enjoy boating on the Bay. Foster is also the President – “Butter Tarts Aficionados – Mid Atlantic Region”.
