So, you think you want to be a Looper? Maybe you are asking yourself, "What do Loopers do on their boat 24/7 while doing the Loop?" Maybe you are in progress and wondering, "Am I doing this Looping thing right?" Or maybe you are questioning: what you should really know before you go, what should my morning routine to shove off the dock look like, what do we do while we are underway all day, how do you prepare to dock or drop anchor, what do you do after the engines are turned off for the day, and what does Looper Midnight mean? This session will attempt to answer these and many other questions to help make your Great Loop Adventure, ...... well, truly great!

Tsali & Jacque Bentley
Platinum Loopers
Platinum Loopers Tsali and Jacque Bentley crossed their wake in August, 2022 and again in October, 2024. Thus far, they have cruised over 15,000 nautical miles on their trawler. As lifelong sailors, they owned numerous sailboats over the years and Tsali sailed across the North Atlantic Ocean. After joining the AGLCA in 2019, they attended their first Rendezvous. The Looper Crawl provided the perfect showcase in determining the Looper boat to best fit their needs – a Mainship 400 trawler named COMPASS ROSE. Tsali and Jacque still maintain their dirt home in the Appalachian Mountains of north Georgia. COMPASS ROSE makes her home port in north Alabama on the Tennessee River at Goose Pond Colony Resort & Marina where Tsali and Jacque serve as Harbor Hosts. The Bentleys were recognized by the AGLCA as the 2022 True North Harbor Host of the Year and the 2024 Ron & Eva Stob Volunteer of the Year award winners.
