Fairhope has been named one of the best small towns on the Great Loop by our members. Unfortunately, the marinas are not a short walk from the downtown area, but it's worth taking a ride-share or taxi to explore the eclectic downtown area that includes a French Quarter and many shops and restaurants.
There's more than one way to do just about anything. Monitoring locks on the inland rivers is no exception. But when you're cruising the Loop, missing important closure information can add days, weeks, or even months to your plans.
