Our guest this week is Brad Pickel, Executive Director of the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway Association. Brad will be filling us on on the Association's Annual Meeting, recently held in Charleston, SC, as well as updating us on issues surrounding the Waterway.

This week our Guest Host will be Steve Eames, South Coast Office Director of the Coastal Conservation League. We will be discussing the proposed dredging of the Savannah River and Charleston Harbor, preserving our coastlines and maintaining the quality of our waterways.

Our Guest Host is Donna Stewart, manager of the Dismal Swamp Canal. Connecting the Chesapeake Bay in Virginia via the Elizabeth River and the Albemarle Sound in North Carolina via the Pasquotank River, this is the oldest continually operating man-made canal in the United States. Its inclusion into the National Register of Historic Places and its designation as a National Civil Engineering Landmark are honors worthy of its colorful past. Donna will tell us about cruising the Canal and why it should be part of every Great Loop cruise!

We will be having Donna Stewart, Manager of the Dismal Swamp, as our cohost. She will tell us all about the Swamp and why it is one of the most interesting sections of the Great Loop. If you are unsure about taking this route, tune in to find out why you should make it part of your journey.
