As this year's fleet of Loopers gets ready to head up the east coast of Florida, a side trip on the St. Johns River will be on the cruising plan of many. This week, Tim & Diane Vandersall join us to share details on this pristine river that's teeming with wildlife. They'll talk about navigating the river, the places they stopped along the way, the facilities available, and the options for places to explore, eat, and simply enjoy nature!

Captains Chris and Alyse Caldwell will join the Home Port Crew to talk about cruising the Treasure Coast of Florida, all the way from Palm Beach to Titusville.

Our guest hosts this week are Captain Tom Shipp who will represent the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission, and, Michael Ahart, On-line Editor of Waterway Guide. We will be discussing the pilot program to explore options for regulating the anchoring/mooring of non-live aboard vessels outside the marked boundary of public mooring fields.

Our guest this week is Brad Pickel, Executive Director of the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway Association. Brad will be filling us on on the Association's Annual Meeting, recently held in Charleston, SC, as well as updating us on issues surrounding the Waterway.

Mike Dickens, Harbor Host for Jacksonville, FL, will be our co-host this Friday. You know Mike well from his popular postings for AGLCA Sponsor Paradise Yachts on buying and selling a Loop boat. Mike will be talking about cruising the east cost of Florida from Miami north to Jacksonville.

Our guest host this week is Brad Pickel, Executive Director of the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway Association. Brad will talk about this status of this waterway which is an integral part of America’s Great Loop. We will be discussing: Initial Development of the AIW, Current Status, Statistics on Pleasure and Commercial Craft Usage, Involvement of the Army Corps of Engineers, Status of Funding, Upcoming Projects, The Annual Conference.

This Friday, Jan. 24th, Mike Ahart of Waterway Guide, and, Capt. Tom Shipp of the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission will be our guests. They will update us on the status of the Florida Anchoring & Mooring Pilot Program.

Robert and Patty Mitchell will be talking about mooring and their experience at mooring fields in Florida.

Our Guest Host this week will be Brad Pickel of the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway Association. He will give us a recap of the Conference held in Charleston, SC, Nov. 13-14, and tell us where they will go from here.
