Welcome to AGLCA's Virtual Docktails where Loopers can connect on special interest topics! Each Zoom social breakout room will be hosted by a Gold Looper or a representative from AGLCA. The groups are intended to be interactive and fun! For the August 21st virtual event, these are the breakout room topics:
Upcoming Fall Rendezvous Attendees hosted by Kim Russo (The Perch), AGLCA Director: If you're registered for our event at Joe Wheeler, this docktails is for you! Connect with fellow attendees and become a familiar face leading up to our October event.
Solo Loopers breakout rooms will be hosted by Nagui Matta (Boundless) and Michael Martin (The Perch): The AGLCA continues to see an increase each year in solo Loopers. If this is something you've done, or you're considering, please join this docktails! It will be a great time to discuss the triumphs and challenges of solo Looping.
Favorite Anchorages breakout rooms will be hosted by Scho & Jo (Elliot Schoenfeld and Jennifer Johnson, Pivot) and Charlie & Robin McVey (The Lower Place): Whether it's a secluded spot in Canada, a Loop group making their way down the TennTom, or a special spot along the coast, anchorages tend to produce some of the best Loop memories! Join this group to share your favorite stops or learn about anchorages you'll want to visit on your Loop.
Docktails with Dogs hosted by Bruce & Maggie Tate (Currently): Calling all Loopers with 4-legged crew members, this docktails is for you. BYOD (Bring Your Own Dog) and get to know other Loopers who share your love of pet hair on boats! Future Loopers with dogs are welcome to join and learn all the tips and tricks.
Future Fleet of 2025 breakout rooms will be hosted by Sarah Bowlin (Light & Salty) and Kim Fleer & Ted Hingst (Pony): This group was such a hit in July that we've decided to bring it back for the August Virtual Docktails. Attendees will have the chance to share plans, timelines, to-do lists, and most of all begin building relationships. Based on feedback from July, AGLCA will monitor registration and possibly break into smaller groups for better discussion.
Once you join the virtual event on August 21st, you will be able to join the breakout room with the topic of your choice and stay as long as you'd like. You can also move among the breakout rooms and join the various topics if you'd like.
Upon registering, you will receive the Zoom link for the virtual docktails but you will also be able to find it in "My Events", which can be found under "My Account" on the homepage menu bar of the AGLCA website when you are logged in. Just click "View Booking" by the appropriate event to see the Zoom link.
