Welcome to AGLCA's Virtual Docktails where Loopers can connect on special interest topics! Each Zoom social breakout room will be hosted by a Gold Looper or a representative from AGLCA. The groups are intended to be interactive and fun with no structured agenda!  For the April 23rd virtual event, the breakout room topics are below.  Hosts for each room will be announced soon.

Best Boat for the Loop
Finding the right boat for you is one of the most important decisions you'll make when planning for your Loop! Beyond making sure the boat is Loop-capable, the rest is largely dependent on your cruising plans, budget, and comfort level.

This Virtual Docktails breakout room will provide a space for members to ask questions and share their boat buying experiences. We'd love to have a diverse group of boat owners and want-to-be boat owners so we can chat about a passion we all share: boats!

Misadventures on the Loop
'Sometimes things don't go as planned' is probably one of the worst kept secrets of the Loop. Nothing makes a better docktails story than a docking that went wrong. Or the no-go weather day that you decided to go and now have a good story to tell.

Whether you've had an unfortunate grounding, a medical emergency, or you ran out of fuel in the marina courtesy car -- we'd love for you to join us and share your stories. For any of our future Loopers looking to gain a glimpse of the not-so-glamorous side of the Loop, please join. You'll see that in most cases we can learn from our mistakes and laugh about it later.

Provisioning/Cooking Aboard
One of the biggest stressors of future Loopers seems to always be the availability of food along the route. Great news -- we've never had a Looper complain of starving during their Loop!

Join this virtual docktails to discuss tips and best-practices for provisioning your boat. Or, if you enjoy swapping recipes that are easy to cook in a boat galley. We can even dive into must-have appliances! This will be a great docktails breakout session for newer Loopers with all of the how-to questions.

Loopers with Pets
Calling all Loopers with 4-legged crew members, this docktails is for you. BYOP (Bring Your Own Pet) and get to know other Loopers who share your love of pet hair on boats! Future Loopers with furry friends are welcome to join and learn all the tips and tricks!

Looping on a Budget
Let's be honest, who isn't on a budget these days?

One of the great things about the Loop is that people make it work with a wide variety of budgets. And the size of the budget has no correlation with the fun and excitement experienced!

If you want to join other Loopers to discuss ways to save money while Looping, budget-friendly tips, and other related topics, be sure to register for this Virtual Docktails.

AGLCA Member Q&A
Meet some of our newest members (or long-term members with questions!) during this open Q&A facilitated by AGLCA Director Kim Russo. We recommend you check out our website tutorials to get an idea of the membership benefits available to you, and then come with your questions about anything and everything related to AGLCA. Kim will be happy to answer whatever is unclear about what AGLCA offers. We are fortunate to have a full-time staff ready and willing to help as you plan and execute your Great Loop adventure.  Use this session to learn more about everything included with your AGLCA membership or ask Kim general questions about the Great Loop.

During the registration process, you will inidicate which breakout room you plan to attend but you will also be able to move to another breakout room during the event if you choose to do so.

Upon registering, you will receive the Zoom link for the virtual docktails but you will also be able to find it in "My Events", which can be found under "My Account" on the homepage menu bar of the AGLCA website when you are logged in.  Just click "View Booking" by the appropriate event to see the Zoom link.

Registration closes on Wednesday, April 23rd at noon eastern.
