What is a Looper Crawl and why are we having this one?:  A Looper Crawl is primarily a social time where AGLCA members whose boats are tied up at the marina open them for other members to tour.  This is not a boat show, and the boats shown are not for sale.  We’re organizing this event, in part, because we know that with the inventory of boats for sale currently so low, many members searching for their future Great Loop boat have not been able to board different boats to start to identify the makes/models/features that might be important to them.  We typically hold Looper Crawls at our Rendezvous, but without an AGLCA Rendezvous in nearly two years due to Covid, opportunities to tour multiple Looper boats in one place have been few and far between.   This is also a great social time for members both in progress and planning (and Gold Loopers too!) to mingle, swap Looping stories, and share that famous Looper camaraderie.  All members are welcomed whether you plan to arrive by car or boat.  If you’re coming by boat, you’re not obligated to open it for the Crawl.  We’ll be asking during registration if you’ll be showing your boat, and if so, we’ll ask for some details so that we can put out a list of the boats that will be available to board.

What are the slip rates?:   As a thank you to those willing to open their boats for the Crawl, Curtis Stokes and Associates will offset the cost of the slips so that those members showing their boats pay $2.00 per foot plus electric for the night of the Crawl.  If you’re not participating in the Crawl, the regular slips are $2.75 per foot with a minimum of 35' plus power.  The premium (wider) slips are $3.25 per foot with a $115 minimum plus power.  30-amp power is $16 per day.  Two 30-amp cords are $32 per day and a 50-amp connection is $32 per day.  To reserve a slip, please call Anne Gatrell at (410) 745-2400.  She is making arrangements for our group, so please talk directly to Ann.

What should we bring?:  This is a BYOB event, so please bring your beverage of choice.  Curtis Stokes & Associates will provide light appetizers.  You may also want to bring a chair to relax.

This is a free event for AGLCA members. Register Now!
