Fall Rendezvous Goes Virtual
After much deliberation, your Home Port Crew has decided to move the Fall Rendezvous to a virtual platform this year. We are disappointed we will not get to see all of you in Rogersville and we know many of you are disappointed as well, but we feel this is the best solution for the health and well-being of our members, our speakers, our sponsors, and the Home Port Crew.
Certainly, the COVID-19 Pandemic has wreaked havoc on the Loop in more ways than one this year. Our top priority is always member safety and we couldn’t, in good conscience, try to put together a live event, and take the risk of even one member becoming ill.
Looking at the bright side, going virtual will be a benefit for those members who don’t have the time or money available to travel to Alabama for the Rendezvous. This will allow the possibility for more of you to get a little of the Rendezvous experience from the comfort of your own homes with a smaller out-of-pocket cost.
We don’t have all the information ready at this time about what the virtual Rendezvous will look like, but we are working hard to determine all those details so we can share them with you soon. Stay tuned to our website, the member forum, the E-Update and Great Loop Link newsletters for more information as it becomes available.
