I looked thru 50 plus boats and spent thousands of dollars to find this boat that was well kept to do the loop. I thought about spending $250,000 on a boat but did not find an advantage. Boat is returning to the market in even better condition. You will hear all kinds of unique requirements for the perfect loop boat but having done parts of the loop on 3 different boats here are the must have features.
Large comfortable boat with seating, views, walk around decks, no ladders, and great lounging inside and out after a long day. Two sleeping areas with baths, stern master for no wave slap noise when anchored, living room with big screen TV, and separate kitchen, outside lounge area, Inverter to have power like normal people, Starlink for constant internet and TV streaming all along the 6,000 mile loop, easy on fuel-3 gph with 700 mile range, twin engines for safety and maneuverability, winch & anchoring tools, two folding bikes, and easy to launch Dingy. If you are thinking of buying a small boat to be easier to handle, that wish will go away after the first week of getting use to the boat. Two helms are imperative, is a misnomer as 95% of all loopers drive from the upper helm. The one day of rain, you don’t travel. This boat is covered and you travel with you like regardless of rain or heat. You can buy this boat, take care of it during your loop, and sell or retain as a floating condo after your loop for minimal capital outlay.
