Members-Only Facebook Group

In addition to the AGLCA discussion forum on the website, AGLCA has a Members-Only Facebook group to further create community among our members.   We know many members enjoy spending time on Facebook so we want to make it convenient for you to interface with other Loopers and the Home Port Crew.  To cut through the clutter, inaccurate information, and general “noise” so prevalent on social media, we created an environment on Facebook where AGLCA members can ask their Loop-related questions and get thoughtful, helpful answers from other members.  Learn how to join the group.

Harbor Hosts

Access to Harbor Hosts. These are members who volunteer to assist Loopers when they enter the Harbor Hosts' home waters. Most will recommend services, share local knowledge and navigational tips, and often provide transportation for re-provisioning. The Harbor Hosts are displayed on the Great Loop Map and can also be found in the Member Roster.

AGLCA's Free Official Member Tracker App - Nebo

Find other Loopers! - At the request of our members, AGLCA has partnered with Nebo, making logging your boat's location and finding other Loopers easy. By automating the tedious task of logging sea voyages, you can spend more time enjoying your on-water boating adventures. Nebo is the easiest and best way to auto-log your boating journeys and to keep in touch with friends on the water (and those unfortunate enough to be stuck at home).

Sample Itineraries

The AGLCA website includes an entire section devoted to the geographic segments on the 6,000-mile Great Loop route. Each segment includes a general overview of the segment and outlines any special considerations or skills you may need to know for that segment.  The sample itinerary for each segment is divided into legs and each leg includes mileage, a brief text description, a downloadable .gpx file and a fly-over video of the route’s track on that leg. Explore the route segments.

GPX Files

As you plan your route, AGLCA has provided .gpx files in the Great Loop Segments of the website.  These files are part of the sample itineraries which divide each segment into legs.  They can be imported into navigation software to make planning your route easier.
