Kilkenny to Shelter Cove
4/25/2017 3:54 PM
Last evening we had docktales with our nice neighbors, Patti and Jack, on the big breezy aft deck of their trawler named Nearly Perfect..the F was backwards. We compared impressions of Savannah and agreed it is a magical memorable city just made for walking. Our two night hotel stay allowed for plenty of that..our Fitbits were humming. The tram tour was very interesting and the Jepson Contemporary Art Museum a nice compliment to all the history. And the food..Huey's with friends Dody and Wayne and 22 Square at Andaz hotel were both special. Today we pushed off (thanks Jack) early to chase high tide. Goodbye Georgia Hello South Carolina..crossed the state line to notch our third state ( in over 5 months so slow R Us). Shelter Cove Marina is part of Palmetto Dunes Resort so quite posh. This will be a great place for the next 5 nights. After that, we will continue North somewhere  sometime. Will let you know when we know. Janet

Notes on The 2016~2017 Travels of Janet and Phil aboard Walrus, our Nordic Tug 34... or as the marinas say, 37 with dinghy davit . We are longtime sailors now newbie trawler converts, it should be quite a trip. We invite family and friends to come along as we record the adventure.??
